Ring of Fire testing at ice rink of Thialf, Heerenveen

We compared the aerodynamic drag of speed skaters skating with two hands on their back vs one hand loose. The Ring of Fire was installed at the ice rink of Thialf (Heerenveen, The Netherlands) to facilitate this.

I was responsible for the organisation, design, setup and execution of the experiments together with the KNSB, TeamNL, InnosportLab Thialf and TU Delft.
