Olympic Formula Kite Suit

Development of a low-drag and cut resistant suit. The suit contains aerodynamic properties that are copied from high-end track cycling suits. A layer of cut-resistant fabrics kept bronze medaillist Annelous Lammerts safe and focused while performing during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. I was responsible for the aerodynamic design and testing of the new suit. We also tested the impact of other equipment on the aerodyanmic drag, such as a loose race bib. This project was a collaboration between WEEV Textiles, TeamNL, Het Watersportverbond and the TU Delft.
